I didn't want my three loyal followers to think I wasn't going to post about what we did today, so here goes...
This morning we played on the screened in porch while sharing mangoes for breakfast. Bean loves to play outside so the screened in porch is great, it has our table and all of our play kitchen equiptment, so all she has to do is toddle safely in and out the door. She loves flinging the sand from our "inside" sandbox, which is outside (I know, confusing) all over the place...so outside is the best place for it right now. We have a permanent sandbox outside which is home to many a great adventure utilizing dinosaurs, matchbox cars, and playmobil construction. Naturally, when the weather went sour we couldn't abandon our quests, so a tupperware container filled with sand found it's way inside and the fun was able to continue all winter long, but now, it has moved outside, as have we! I stole some time away to mop my floors, they were really bad folks, really bad. I think I used a whole box of swiffer pads cleaning them. Then the rain set in, and everyone got in a crabby, tattling, bickering mood-myself included. So what else to do but pile into "the beast" and go to the store for birthday party supplies! Youngest son, Dominic's birthday party is tomorrow, so off we went. Three carts for three babies! We got candy, candy and more candy, oh and bottles of water. We went to pick up lunch at a local favorite but the wait even for carry out was 45 minutes! Uh, no...that ain't happening. So off for fast food, and home. Home was filled with more crabbiness, and more bickering-so I put the babies to bed and succumbed to the indulgence of a nap-for 20 minutes until screaming, crying crabby babies woke me up, oh well...thankfully beloved husband was on his way home and like my knight in shining armour that he is, he whisked the babies away in the car to drop oldest daughter at gymnastics and to pick up dinner from the same place we failed at lunch. I think a bath is calling me tonight, with candles, and a big glass of lemon water...yes, friends, I think that is a plan.
