Oh, these warm lazy days do much for my soul...I/we love to linger in the warmth and daydream a little, plan a little, do a little, laze and linger a little.
This is how we lived today:
slept in (hee hee)
made popsicles, and ate them!
played outside
painted our toenails
wore shorts!
went to church-mom's group
made macaroni and cheese for lunch
read to babies
watched tv
made iced tea
played on the computer
This is what we learned today:
-that when you play outside in the fresh air all day, your body gets tired!
-how to follow directions in mixing and stirring, how sugar dissolves in liquid and that you have to put popsicle sticks in when liquid is partially frozen,...because the process of water turning to ice takes time. (in other words, the different states of liquids)
-that the spring is springing, there is green grass and lots of buds waiting to become beautiful leaves, with chlorophyll in them
-that we can wear shorts today, and tomorrow, but a cold front will be coming in and bringing rain and cold weather for thursday, so, no shorts then :(
-how to read aloud, and how to read to someone younger than us that may not have the same attention span as we do
-used our math skills for measuring and doubling when cooking
-when you pour hot liquid on ice it melts, and vaporizes...different states of liquids again!
-that a platypus is a marsupial, a mammal that carries it's baby in a pouch to drink it's mothers milk. And that a platypus has a sixth sense, electromagnetic reception, that helps it monitor it's environment. They lay eggs, mammals that lay eggs-the only ones!(btw...the eggs are the size of grapes)
-we explored different architectural designs, and chose the ones best suited to hold up our fort in case of a seige!
A lot of living and a lot of learning going on!
