Okay, lets try that again...
There are a few things that fill my soul like rain that falls gently on a summer day...the kind of things that make you smile and bask in the moment, filled with perfect bliss. Last night I got the joy of experiencing one of them as I drifted off to sleep. We don't have a family bed, not because we are opposed to the idea, we just don't have enough room for everybody! What we do have is an open door, or open floor, policy where you can bring your pillow and blanket and make a little snuggly nest on the floor. Honestly, this is my preferred method of sleeping. I adore sleeping with my little ones close by, lying by and often on top of each other, listening to their little breathy noises and sleepy mumbles in the dark...pure bliss, pure bliss! Well last night found Dominic and Gretchen curled up in a pile and as I was drifting off, I adored hearning their little whispering voices..."pretend that..." "pretend you..." They were playing ocean with Dominics playmobil blue whale and orca whale. Adorble, precious, humorous. "pretend that the plankton is my friend and you ate it" "don't forget to go up and breathe, you are a mammal and need air." "Follow me, I will show you where the krill are" Filled up folks, drinking it in...drinking it in and filling up my soul with sweetness.
