Lately I've seen a lot of nice, sparkly houses shining on blogs. This is very inspiring and beautiful to me...it made me think about cleaning. Sometimes, you run a cross a blog that shares their cleaning secrets, or if you are lucky enough, their cleaning schedule. I thought it was time that I weighed in on the topic. Today I will start with my bathroom:
I wake up in the morning with bodies all around me, pillows and blankets pilled up with more bodies on the floor...I step over these bodies and make my way into the bathroom-Everyone goes to the bathroom first thing in the morning, I am no different...I use the potty and let my body fluids go down the drain with all the other presents left by nocturnal visitors...there, potty is now clean!
Making my way into the shower, I always make sure to separate the spongebob shampoo, barbie bodywash, hot wheel shampoo, sesame street bubble bath, a myriad of other concoctions and small plastic animals in tupperware from last nights water zoo re-enactment from my shampoo as I am showering, lining them up precariously on the windowsill ledge. I use lots of soap and squeeze some on the tub floor, swish with feet and rinse while I rinse...tub is now clean!
After toweling off and urging wakening bodies to PLEASE not wake the babies, I shake out the towel, turn it over to hide any spots left by whomever was playing water zoo in my tub last night, and TAH-DAH! Towels are clean!
Get dressed, brush teeth, brush hair ( I am VERY low maintainence...) run water in sink and use hands to scrub out toothpaste goop left from last nights brushing brigade...sink is now clean!
Open door to unknown. Peace and quiet? Total bedlam? Screaming? Laughing? Who knows what I will encounter, but one thing is for sure...the bathroom is clean!
