Flood update and more

Yep! River was higher! Halfway up the parking lot of the church that we have been using as our frame of reference. I let them stand in the shallow water and they were whooping it up yelling, "I'm standing in the flood!" I can only imagine what people think when we pile out of every possible orifice in our old Suburban-fondly known as "The Beast". We drove around and checked out a few other places, a lot of roads were closed so we couldn't check out all our places. We stopped for slushies and headed home for a day outside as it was in the 60's today! We build a balance beam and a catapult, cleaned off the sunporch and got it ready for spring and summer fun by moving all our play kitchen equipment out. There was restaurant play and a drive thru, and detailed menu making. We even had a robber attack our quaint little drive thru...he was quickly chased away! We tried to attend a party at webkinz, but encountered technical difficulty, so we rode Beans push toy down the big hill in our back yard instead! Ever the thrill! We wrapped up the day playing outside with friends and grilling up chicken, fish and veggies. Now the very dirty, very tired children must bathe...Church tomorrow!
